A warm welcome to the Lochaber Gathering Festival of Piping

Lochaber, once a home to brave clansmen and loyal causes, is sure to inspire the playing of the "noble instrument" and its art.  The Gathering is held in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.  Its added features offer an attractive divergence from the competitive edge.  This is purely to add to the enjoyment of the occasion, where you can relax, away from the stresses of competition  This includes a lecture programme which gives interesting insights into the lives of pipers from the past.  In many ways the Festival has developed into a great social occasion.  It is clearly now established as one of the most prestigious events on the Piping Calendar. 

Due to the Clan Cameron Gathering taking place on July 31st, the Gathering will be held as a one day event.

In this Homecoming Year we are presenting a lecutre by Robert Wallace, Principal of the College of Piping.  Robert has chosen to speak on 'Over the Isles to America' - How Scot's took Piping to the new world.

Whether you are a performer or not, try and make the trip to Lochaber for this occasion.  We are extending a special welcome to overseas visitors.
